Video: Russian attack on Kyiv claims three lives; a high-rise building was hit

Three people were killed and several others were injured as a result of a nighttime attack by Russian drones on Kyiv. In the Desnianskyi district of the capital, a residential building was hit, causing damage and a fire.

According to preliminary reports, debris or a direct hit from a drone damaged the high-rise building. Rescue workers and emergency services are on the scene, dealing with the aftermath of the attack and assisting the victims.

As a result of falling debris, the building sustained significant damage, and a large-scale fire broke out.

Units of the State Emergency Service, ambulance crews, and police arrived promptly at the scene. While extinguishing the fire and clearing the rubble, rescue workers discovered the body of a woman who had died.

Four other people sustained injuries of varying severity. Medical personnel provided first aid on the scene, after which all the victims were immediately hospitalized at hospitals in the capital. 

 

• As of 5:30 p.m., three residents of the capital had died, and 10 were injured, Klitschko reported. 

Also, in the Desnianskyi district, according to preliminary information, a UAV struck a 25-story residential building on the 16th floor. Emergency services are heading to the scene.
 

• The mayor later clarified that a fire broke out on the top floor of the high-rise building struck by the enemy UAV. During the search and rescue operation, rescuers evacuated an injured child and handed the child over to medical personnel. The child has lacerations on the face. The search of the building is ongoing. 

According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the drone crashed into a three-story non-residential building near the market.

In addition, on the night of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Odesa region using strike drones. As a result of the attack, three gas stations and an energy infrastructure facility were damaged. 

As a reminder, in Odesa, the number of casualties from the Russian strike has risen to 11, with one person in critical condition.

On July 7, Russian forces attacked Odesa with a ballistic missile equipped with a cluster warhead.
