In the Donetsk region, in areas where active combat operations are ongoing, there are still about 11,000 civilians. All children from these areas have already been evacuated.

“In the 19 communities classified as active combat zones, about 11,000 people remain; there are no longer any children in these communities,” Petlin said.

He added that the last two children from Mykolaivka were evacuated on August 15.

According to him, a total of about 108,400 civilians, including about 5,500 children, currently remain in the government-controlled territory of Donetsk Oblast.

The representative of the Regional Military Administration also reported that since the beginning of August, more than 9,400 people—740 of whom are children—have been evacuated or have left the region on their own.

In total, more than 1,425,000 people, including over 213,000 children, have been evacuated from their places of permanent residence in the government-controlled territory of Donetsk Oblast since February 2022.

Dmytro Petlin, a representative of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, announced this during an online briefing.

Donetsk Oblast has come under enemy fire 16 times over the past 24 hours.
