Occupying forces attacked the Nikopol region more than 20 times in a single day; one person was wounded
Russian troops struck the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast more than 20 times throughout the day. The occupiers used drones and artillery; as a result of the attacks, an administrative building and a business were damaged, and a police officer was wounded.
The enemy targeted the communities of Nikopol, Pokrovsk, Marganetsk, and Chervonohryhorivka.
Damage was caused to infrastructure, a food processing plant, a college, an administrative building, private homes and high-rises, a store, and vehicles.
A 32-year-old police officer was injured, Ganza noted.
Oleksandr Ganza, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.
There were 239 combat engagements on the front lines, with the highest number occurring in the Pokrovsk sector.
On August 19, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported new losses suffered by the Russian army. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,190 invaders, and total Russian personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 1.47 million soldiers.
