Russia attacked Ukraine with drones from eight directions
On the night of September 21, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with attack drones from eight directions. The airstrike continued throughout the night, and there were hits.
On the night of September 21, starting at 6:00 p.m. on September 20, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 172 Shahed- and Gerbera-type attack drones. Of these, 64 were jet-powered drones.
In addition, the Russians used “Parody” decoy drones, as well as “Banderole” and “Dan-T” missiles.
The targets were launched simultaneously from several directions:
Belgorod;
Shatalovo;
Orel;
Kursk;
Primorsko-Akhtarsk;
Millerovo (Russia);
temporarily occupied Donetsk;
Gvardeyskoye on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula.
As of 8:00 a.m. on September 21, air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 147 enemy drones—including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and other types. Another “Banderol”/“Dan-T” missile was also neutralized.
However, there were consequences. Ukrainian military personnel recorded enemy airstrikes hitting 14 locations. Debris from downed targets fell on 4 additional locations.
As of the morning of September 21, enemy drones were still present in Ukrainian airspace.

As a reminder, Russia attacked two districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region starting in the evening; one person was wounded.
Russia also struck Lozova, damaging the train station and causing one fatality.
On September 21, Russia attacked two districts in the Kyiv region.
