66 combat engagements recorded on the frontline since the start of the day
As of 04:00 p.m. on January 30, 2026, 66 combat engagements have been recorded on the frontline, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy shelled settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions from the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as positions of Ukrainian troops on the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions. Two of the attacks were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.
On the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, six attacks were recorded in the areas of Starytsia, Prylipky, and Vovchansk, with two combat engagements still ongoing.
On the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance toward Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Novoosynove; four combat engagements were recorded, two of which remain active.
On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four attacks, two of which are still ongoing.
On the Sloviansk direction, the enemy made three attempts to advance toward Zakitne and Dronivka, with one engagement still continuing.
No offensive actions were recorded on the Kramatorsk direction.
On the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Sofiivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, and Novopavlivka; two attacks are still ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk direction, 25 attempts by the enemy to push back Ukrainian troops were recorded, 23 of which have already been repelled.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked four times.
In southern Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks in the Huliaipole area, with one engagement still ongoing.
On the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy carried out one attack each, both of which were repelled by Ukrainian forces.
The General Staff notes that the situation on other directions has not changed significantly, and Ukrainian troops continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact.
Russian claims about the capture of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi do not correspond to reality.
Also, fighters of the “Khartiia” unit are clearing Kupiansk of remaining occupying forces.
