Russia has intensified its offensive on three fronts: 54 clashes in the past 24 hours
Since the start of the day, 54 combat engagements have been recorded between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian troops. The enemy is conducting the most intense fighting in the Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole sectors.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29.
"Since the start of the day, the aggressor has attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 54 times," the statement reads.
According to the General Staff, artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in the Sumy region, the settlements of Korenok, Rohizne, Bachivsk, Volfyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Tovstodubove, Stara Huta, Prohres, and Mishutyne were hit; in the Chernihiv region, Khrinivka was hit.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 37 attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems. Two firefights took place.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units five times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, and Krasne Pershe. One firefight is still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct any active operations today.
In the Lyman direction, toward the settlements of Drobysheve and Lyman, our defenders repelled two enemy assaults.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance toward the settlement of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders once in the Nikiforivka area.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the invaders carried out 13 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Rusyno Yar, and Stepanivka. Three firefights are currently ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted 17 times to push our soldiers out of their positions toward the settlements of Novopavlivka, Bilytske, Dorozhne, and in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, and Novopidhorodne. One engagement is still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched a single offensive toward Oleksandrohrad.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of Pryluky, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipole, and toward Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Zirnytsia, Barvinivka, Vozdvyzhivka, Lyubytske, Huliaipilske, Dolynka, and Charivne. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one attack toward Novoandriivka and launched airstrikes on the areas around the settlements of Tavriiske and Orikhiv.
In the Dnipro direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled two enemy assaults in the area of the Antonivsky Bridge and Bilohrudy Island.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
Russia has lost over 1,000 more troops and two air defense systems in the waragainst Ukraine.
As a reminder, in the village of Dobrye in the Graivoronsky District of the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation, two men were wounded by two guided aerial bombs.
In three border districts of Russia’s Belgorod Oblast—Shebekinsky, Borisovsky, and Graivoronsky—the installation of anti-drone corridors has begun.
As a reminder, on the night of March 8, a powerful missile strike was launched against energy facilities in Belgorod and the Belgorod District.
Due to the shelling, Belgorod was left without electricity and heating.
Additionally, a gas pipeline was damaged in the Belgorod region, and schools are closed.
