Over the past 24 hours, 249 battles took place on the front lines, and Russia has stepped up its activities on three fronts
Over the past 24 hours, on July 16, 249 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the front line. The occupiers were most active in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Kostiantynivka sectors.
Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike, fired eight missiles, and carried out 85 airstrikes, dropping 265 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 9,920 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,110 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, including 31 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck 18 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated and two other key enemy targets.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions over the past day, the occupiers carried out one airstrike, dropping two guided bombs, and carried out 65 attacks on our troops’ positions and populated areas, including one using a multiple launch rocket system. In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 19 times in the area of the settlement of Starytsia and toward the settlements of Izbytske, Kutkivka, Khatne, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Radkivka, Vilcha, and Bereznyky.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy carried out three assaults today on the positions of the Defense Forces near Kolisnykivka and toward the settlements of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi and Novoplatonivka. In the Lyman sector, the enemy attempted to breach our defenses ten times, attacking in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, and Novomykhailivka, as well as toward the settlements of Lyman, Dibrova, and Ozerne.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy launched 23 assaults toward the settlements of Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Piskunivka, Mykolaivka, and in the areas of Riznykivka and Zakytne. In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out one attack toward Tykhonivka. In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 20 attacks in the areas around the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, and Stepanivka, as well as toward Dovha Balka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 37 assaults by the aggressor in the areas around the settlements of Dorozhne, Hryshyne, Novopidhorodne, Rodynske, Vasylivka, and Kotlyne, as well as toward the settlements of Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Kucheriv Yar. In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched two attacks toward Vorone. On the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 17 attacks toward the settlements of Kosivtseve, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, Charivne, Hirke, and Vozdvizhivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched ten assaults on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Bilohirya, Shcherbakiv, Mali Shcherbakiv, and toward Novoandriivka and Primorsky. In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations. In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected. Ukrainian defenders continue to systematically destroy the enemy and are putting up effective resistance across all sections of the front.



In total, over the past day, the Russian invaders suffered 1,370 casualties. Additionally, four tanks, six armored fighting vehicles, 65 artillery systems, seven multiple launch rocket systems, four air defense systems, one helicopter, three missiles, 13 ground-based robotic systems, 1,879 unmanned aerial vehicles, 489 vehicles, and four units of the enemy’s specialized equipment were neutralized.

As a result of a massive Russian strike on the capital, a leased humanitarian warehouse belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross was completely destroyed; it had stored over 320,000 items of cargo and equipment with a total value of over 79 million hryvnias.
As a result of Russian shelling and a fire at one of the capital’s enterprises, fuel and lubricants flowed into Kyrylivskyi Lake in Kyiv through the storm sewer system.
