A total of 248 clashes were recorded on the front lines over the past 24 hours, with the highest number occurring in the Pokrovsk sector
As of 8:00 a.m. on September 22, the 1,672nd day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine had begun. Over the past 24 hours, 248 combat engagements were recorded along the front lines.
Russian forces carried out 87 airstrikes, during which they dropped 305 guided bombs.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 9,647 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,795 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck an area where enemy personnel were concentrated, three artillery systems, and one enemy command post.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched five attacks in the areas of Bunyachyne, Mala Korchakivka, and Yunakivka.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Ukrainian units repelled 10 attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Starytsia, Kozacha Lopana, Lyman, Symynivka, Rybalchyne, and Zarubinka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched a single attack in the area of Kivsharivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attempts to breach their defenses. The Russians attacked in the areas of Stavky, Shyikivka, Novoselivka, and Derylove.
In the Sloviansk sector, the occupiers carried out four assaults in the areas of Ozerny, Mykolaivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one enemy attack was recorded in the direction of Fedorivka Druha.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 19 attacks took place. Russian troops launched assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Illinivka, Dovha Balka, Rozkishne, and Novopavlivka.
The highest number of assaults was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector. Ukrainian defenders repelled 33 enemy attacks.
The enemy was active in the areas of Bilytske, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka, and also launched attacks in the directions of Toretsk, Sofiivka, Dobropillia, Novyi Donbas, Vilne, Hannivka, Krasnopodillia, Vodyanske, Dorozhne, Vasylivka, and Myrne.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the invaders carried out one attack toward Ternove.
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers attempted to advance 14 times. Combat operations took place in the areas of Rizdvyanka, Ternuvate, and Kopani.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attempts to advance toward Pavlivka.
In the Dnipro sector, Russian troops did not carry out any assault operations over the past day.
At the same time, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya sectors.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,230 soldiers.
In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed:
- 3 tanks;
- 9 armored combat vehicles;
- 42 artillery systems;
- 2 multiple-launch rocket systems;
- 1 air defense system;
- 8 ground-based robotic systems;
- 1,441 unmanned aerial vehicles;
- 312 vehicles;
- 4 units of specialized equipment.
Ukrainian defense forces continue to repel Russian assaults and inflict losses on the enemy across all sectors of the front.
In the Sumy region, Russian troops carried out artillery strikes on Bachivsk, Ulanove, Tovstodubove, Kuchervtsi, Korchakivtsi, and Andriivtsi, and also launched an airstrike on the Pustogorod area.

Prior to this, 197 combat engagements took place on the front lines over the past 24 hours. The Pokrovsk sector remains the most active, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 23 attacks by Russian troops, and the enemy lost more than 50 occupiers.
