Special Operations Forces cleared out the Russians' dugout after they refused to surrender

After the enemy refused to surrender, the fighters cleared the dugout, killed one Russian soldier, and seized weapons and documents.

The Ukrainian fighters operated covertly. First, they quietly entered the mission area, after which they detected the Russian military position. “Operating covertly, the Special Operations Forces operatives infiltrated the mission area and detected the enemy position,” the Special Operations Forces reported.
The Russians refused to surrender
After the Ukrainian special forces identified the position, the Russian troops were offered the chance to surrender. According to the Special Operations Forces, the enemy refused. Following this, the Ukrainian fighters began clearing the bunker. During a direct firefight, one Russian serviceman was killed.
After clearing the bunker, the operators also seized weapons and documents found at the position. The SSO did not specify exactly how many Russian soldiers were at the position in total.
The operation was conducted covertly
A distinctive feature of this raid was that Ukrainian special forces initially entered the area where the enemy was located covertly. This approach allows them to get as close as possible to the enemy position and launch a surprise attack. At the same time, the Ukrainian military has not disclosed specific details regarding the route, preparation, or execution of the operation.
The Special Operations Forces (SSO) emphasized that during such operations, the enemy may be offered the chance to surrender. If enemy troops refuse, Ukrainian soldiers continue to carry out their combat mission. “Compliance or consequence—this is the principle that guides the work of special forces: the enemy has only one chance to choose. When the wrong choice is made, the operators make the decision,” the Special Operations Forces stated.
The released footage captures part of the operation and the work of Ukrainian special forces at an enemy position. The Special Operations Forces have not disclosed the exact location of the raid. All that is known is that the operation took place in the eastern theater of operations. The Special Operations Forces regularly conduct special operations in various sectors of the front. The units carry out missions involving reconnaissance, striking the enemy, operating behind enemy lines, and seizing critical materials. This time, the raid resulted in the clearing of a Russian position, the elimination of one Russian soldier, and the seizure of weapons and documents. The Special Operations Forces reported on the operation and published a video of the combat action.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have regained control of new areas of territory between Dvorichna and Zapadny in the Kharkiv region. According to the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter,” troops liberated another 4 km², while analysts at DeepState reported the clearing of 2 km² of forest and an advance near Zapadny.
Ukrainian defense forces have liberated the village of Seredne in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops have also pushed back Russian occupiers in the Shandryholove area.
The liberation of the villages of Shandryholove and Drobysheve allowed the Ukrainian military to fully regain control of a key area that defends the approaches to Lyman.
