302 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines over the past 24 hours
The 1,558th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun, during which 302 combat engagements have been recorded on the front lines.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian occupation forces continue to carry out massive shelling and airstrikes along the entire line of contact, attempting to break through the defenses of Ukrainian defenders.
“According to updated information, yesterday the enemy carried out 81 airstrikes, dropping 270 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 9,584 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,066 attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, including 38 using multiple launch rocket systems,” the military agency noted.
In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck a command post, an artillery system, three UAV command posts, and two other key enemy targets.
The most tense situation persists in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors, where the Defense Forces repelled 46 assaults by the aggressor.
In the Pokrovsk direction, fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Zapovidne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward Kucheriiv Yar, Toretske, Bilytske, Dorozhne, Shevchenko, and Novopidhorodne.
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers attacked near Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, and in the direction of Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipole, and Charivne.
Active combat operations were also recorded in other sectors of the front. In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 16 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the direction of Rozkishne and Stepanivka.
In the Lyman direction, the occupiers attempted to breach our defenses 11 times, and in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces positions ten times.
Seven enemy assaults were repelled in the Sloviansk direction; five clashes occurred in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, four in the Oleksandrivka direction, and three in the Kupiansk direction.
One attempt to advance was recorded in the Orikhiv and Dnipro directions.
At the same time, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk, Volyn, and Polissya sectors; no signs of strike group formations were detected there.
