In the Huliaipole sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to significantly expand the combat zone this fall

In the Huliaipole sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to significantly expand the combat zone this fall

With the onset of fall, a significant expansion of the “no-go zone” is expected in the Huliaipole sector, as well as along the front line in general.

This is attributed to seasonal changes that affect reconnaissance capabilities and the use of weapons.

“The kill zone is not yet expanding in the same way it did, for example, during the winter. It will vary depending on the season, and in the fall, we expect the kill zone to expand significantly. This is a cyclical process that is highly dependent on seasonal factors,” said Dmytro Filatov.

According to the commander of the 1st Special Forces Brigade, when comparing the trends with similar periods last year, a tendency toward an increase in the kill zone in the fall can be observed.

At the same time, the number of strikes on both sides is increasing, and weapons systems are evolving and adapting to new conditions and challenges.

The enemy is also attempting to counter the expansion of the combat zone. In particular, Russian forces are forming mobile fire groups, but these are gradually becoming more vulnerable.

“They now realize that, thanks to the precise surveillance capabilities of our systems, we can maneuver them effectively; consequently, the enemy understands that a mobile fire group is becoming highly vulnerable. Consequently, they are still trying to build their countermeasures around FPV systems,” explained Dmytro Filatov.

It was previously reported that the “no-fly zone” in the Kupiansk direction has expanded significantly.

Ukrainian FPV drone operators can now operate up to 20 kilometers deep into territories temporarily occupied by Russian troops.

According to military officials, further expansion of the strike zone will depend on technological advancements, reconnaissance capabilities, and changes in tactics on both sides.

Dmytro “Perun” Filatov, commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment, spoke about this on “Army TV.”

As a reminder, the “ATESH” partisan movement claimed to have destroyed three Russian communications towers in the border areas of the Kursk region. According to the movement, the facilities near the settlements of Daryino, Mala Loknya, and Sverdlykovo provided communication links between the command posts of Russian units.

As a result of a Russian attack on August 18, the premises of the “Kyivguma” factory in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, sustained damage. No employees were injured, and the damage, according to preliminary estimates, is not critical.

On the evening of August 18 and overnight on August 19, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast more than 10 times with drones and artillery. As a result of the shelling, an administrative building, a private home, and other civilian structures were damaged, and a fire broke out. According to preliminary data, there were no fatalities or injuries.

Earlier, a Russian drone attacked a car carrying bread near Zaporizhzhia.
