In the Kharkiv region, within the Savynska community, two 16-year-old teenagers were injured when an unknown object exploded.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Police.
The incident occurred near the village of Morozivka in the Izyum district. According to preliminary data, a girl and her friend were walking near a forest strip close to a pond when she stepped on an explosive device.
As a result of the explosion, both teenagers sustained injuries. The victims were hospitalized to receive necessary medical care.
Law enforcement received a report of the incident on May 28. An investigative team was dispatched to the scene to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier in Sloviansk, a 17-year-old boy suffered severe injuries after an unknown object he found while walking exploded in his hands. The teenager was hospitalized, and doctors are fighting to save his life.
In the village of Mala Oleksandrivka, a 41-year-old local resident suffered severe injuries from the explosion of an unidentified object. The victim, who sustained a foot amputation, shrapnel wounds, and a concussion, was hospitalized in serious condition.
