In the Kherson region, more than 200 km of roads have been protected with anti-drone nets

In the Kherson region, more than 206 kilometers of roads have been covered with special anti-drone nets to protect against drone attacks. Currently, the main focus is on the most vulnerable sections of roads between communities and in the regional center, where there remains a high risk of Russian drone strikes.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, following a meeting with bus operators regarding the safety of passenger transportation amid intensifying Russian drone attacks.

“Unfortunately, the enemy continues to strike passenger transport in the city and region with drones. But despite the danger, we cannot leave people without transportation. Work is constantly underway in the Kherson region to install anti-drone protection along logistics routes. This systematic effort is yielding tangible results—as of today, more than 206 kilometers of the region’s roads have already been covered with nets,” Prokudin wrote.

According to him, efforts are currently focused on protecting the most vulnerable sections of local roads between communities and in the regional center.

Prokudin also added that all drivers will be equipped with personal protective gear, as well as technical devices for detecting UAVs and tracking drone threats.
