August 22 was declared a day of mourning in the Mykolaiv region

August 22 was declared a day of mourning in the Mykolaiv region for those killed in the Russian attack on Tokarivka.

This was announced by Georgy Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

“Today, the terrorist state has once again taken the lives of four of our people. The most heartbreaking thing is that three of the victims were children—children who were supposed to live, grow up, learn, and dream. As a sign of mourning for the victims, I ask that tomorrow, August 22, the national flags of Ukraine be flown at half-mast and that entertainment events in the region be restricted. I extend my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. May you find the strength to endure this terrible loss,” Reshetilov said.

As a reminder, a Russian attack in Tokarivka, in the Veselynivka community, claimed the lives of four civilians. An enemy “Shahed”-type drone struck a civilian building that housed local social services facilities.

The death toll from the Russian terrorists’ strike on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih has risen. Currently, 14 deaths have been reported.

On August 21, Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih’s largest shopping complex with a strike drone.

On August 18, the Russian army killed one resident of the Donetsk region and wounded four others.
