Russian drones damaged a hotel, residential buildings, and a warehouse complex in the Odesa region
On the night of June 5–6, Russian forces launched another massive attack on the Odesa region using Shahed-type attack drones. Residential, logistics, and civilian infrastructure facilities were targeted.
Russian drones entered the region from the Black Sea in several waves, maneuvering over residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities.
As a result of air defense operations and falling debris from downed drones, several locations sustained damage.
According to rescue workers, a strike was recorded at one address, hitting a three-story building housing an operating hotel.
The residential sector was also hit. A residential house and a farm building located on private property sustained significant damage.
A logistics facility was a separate target of the attack.
Debris from the enemy drone fell onto the territory of a warehouse complex, where a large-scale fire broke out. The fire was caused by the detonation of the drone’s fuel residue.
The fire engulfed significant stocks of feed additives stored in the warehouse.
Cleanup efforts following the enemy strike continued until morning.
To extinguish the fires and carry out emergency rescue operations, the State Emergency Service deployed over 30 rescuers and 10 units of specialized equipment.
Emergency responders quickly contained all sources of ignition and prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring facilities.
Despite significant damage to civilian infrastructure, there were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the nighttime attack.
Currently, relevant agencies are continuing to assess the extent of the damage and document the consequences of yet another Russian strike on the Odesa region.
