In the Sumy region, 17 people were injured in the past 24 hours as a result of Russian shelling
In the Sumy region over the past 24 hours, on July 14, 17 people were injured as a result of attacks by Russian forces. The shelling damaged civilian infrastructure and had a significant impact on the region’s residents.
Sixteen communities in the Sumy region came under enemy fire. The Russians used guided aerial bombs, attack drones, FPV drones, artillery, and multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Sumy community, seven people were injured as a result of a strike involving cluster munitions: an 11-year-old boy, women aged 59, 63, and 72, and men aged 29, 47, and 56. Two apartment buildings and 11 private homes were damaged, as well as a gas station.
In the Zno-Novgorod community, a 24-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were injured when a UAV struck a car. The car was damaged.
In the Khutir-Mykhailivska community, two men aged 39 and 45 were injured as a result of strikes by Russian drones. A car was damaged.

In the Seredino-Budsk community, a 43-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man were injured as a result of mortar shelling. A 54-year-old man was also injured by a Russian drone strike. Four private homes were damaged.
In the Shalygyn community, a 42-year-old woman was injured when an enemy drone struck a car. A passenger car was damaged.
In the Mykolaiv community, a 20-year-old man was wounded when a Russian drone struck. A private home was damaged.

In the Nedryhailiv community, a 49-year-old man was injured when an enemy drone struck a car. The village council building was damaged.
In the Vorozhba, Sveska, Hlukhiv, Bilopil, Buryn, Shostka, Sadiv, and other communities, residential buildings, cars, a preschool, and other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Police investigative teams and bomb disposal experts worked at the scenes of the incidents. Law enforcement officers documented the consequences of the attacks.

Criminal proceedings have been opened for each incident under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes), the Sumy Regional Police reported.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces pushed back Russian troops near the villages of Maliivka, Sichneve, Novoheorhiivka, and Zaporizke in the Synelnykivskyi District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Over the past 24 hours, 244 combat engagements took place on the front lines. Ukrainian troops continue to repel the advance of Russian occupation forces, inflicting losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.
On the night of July 14, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, guided air-to-ground missiles, and attack drones. Air defense forces intercepted five ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 missiles, and 108 enemy drones.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s drone forces have struck or destroyed 1,559 Russian military targets, including 15 enemy vessels.
