In the Vovchansk sector, the enemy is stepping up its pressure and actively deploying UAVs
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, near Vovchansk, Russian troops are attempting to increase pressure from the east of the city.
According to a military official, the main feature of this section of the front is the extremely high density of drones.
“We’re not leading in terms of the number of attacks across the entire front, but no one even comes close in terms of the number of UAVs. This is truly a testing ground. In Vovchansk, we can see what the war will look like over the next six months,” “Stoik” stated.
He noted that, on average, the enemy carries out 3–5 airstrikes daily and deploys over a hundred kamikaze drones.
According to the UAV operator, the enemy previously attempted head-on assaults on Vovchansk, but these attacks were unsuccessful.
Now Russian units are operating in small groups, trying to identify weak spots between Ukrainian positions and bypass the city from the east.
“They’re looking for weak spots between our positions and trying to bypass Vovchansk from the east. They’ve advanced and have indeed expanded the ‘gray zone.’ We’ve adapted our tactics and are clearing these ‘gray zones’ from our side, including with the help of drones,” the military official explained.
“Stoik” also emphasized that in this sector, the Russians are testing new combat approaches, including fiber-optic-guided drones, motorized assaults, and infiltration attacks.
According to him, Ukrainian forces have responded by increasing their use of UAVs and tightening control over the “gray zone.”
This was reported during the “Yedyni Novyny” telethon by a UAV operator from the “Apex” strike unmanned aerial vehicle company, whose call sign is “Stoik.”
As a reminder, the squadron leader of the 4th “Force of Freedom” Battalion of the “Rubizh” Brigade, with the call sign “Bilyi,” showed how Ukrainian troops are repelling attacks by Russian assault groups through coordinated actions by various units.
The Russian army’s total combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have reached approximately 1,393,140 servicemen.
The day before, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine will continue to intensify long-range strikes on Russian territory and expand the capabilities of its own drones.
