Russian troops attacked critical infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out a series of intense shelling attacks on the Zhytomyr region, targeting critical infrastructure and industrial facilities.
The enemy deliberately sought to destroy the region’s industrial capacity and life-support systems.
Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, provided official information on the consequences of the enemy attacks.
“Critical infrastructure and civilian industrial facilities in the Korosten district were targeted. Currently, there is no information on casualties,” the head of the Regional Military Administration noted.
Large-scale fires broke out as a result of the strikes on civilian enterprises and infrastructure hubs.
Firefighters from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine quickly arrived at the scene and managed to completely extinguish all the fires.
The work of the emergency services was significantly hampered by the constant risk of repeated strikes by the Russian army.
