The occupiers' most intense activity on the front is concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction

On Wednesday, April 22, 49 combat engagements were recorded along the front line. The situation remains most critical in the Pokrovsk direction, where the invaders carried out 20 attacks.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its evening update. The enemy attempted to push back Ukrainian troops in the areas of Sofiivka, Myrnohrad, Udachne, and other settlements; three battles are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 10 enemy assaults near Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, and Tsvitkove. In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers launched nine attacks near Kostiantynivka and Pleshchiivka. Isolated attempts to advance were recorded in the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Kramatorsk sectors, while no active enemy operations have been reported in the Dnipro and Sloviansk sectors since the start of the day.

The occupiers continue to terrorize the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Ryzhivka, Bachivsk, and Budky came under artillery fire, and airstrikes were carried out on Chernatske. In the Kursk sector, the enemy is using guided aerial bombs and multiple launch rocket systems. The situation across all sectors of the front remains under the control of Ukrainian defenders, who are holding their positions and inflicting losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.

Russian troops launched a massive strike on Hlukhiv in the Sumy region. Two people were injured as a result of the attack, and a large-scale fire broke out.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 725 strikes on 39 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Two people were killed and ten others were wounded as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
