The occupiers attacked Konotop with drones; there are casualties
On the morning of June 8, Russian forces attacked Konotop in the Sumy region with strike drones. The shelling has resulted in casualties; rescue services are on the scene, and efforts to address the aftermath of the strike are ongoing. This was reported by Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, and Artem Semenikhin, mayor of Konotop.
“This morning, the enemy attacked the city with several UAVs. Civilian infrastructure—the residential sector—was hit. There are casualties. Medical personnel are providing them with all necessary assistance,” Grigorov emphasized.
According to the head of the Regional State Administration, a search and rescue operation is underway. Information regarding the consequences of the attack is being clarified. Semenikhin added that at least one person is trapped under the rubble of a high-rise building. Three victims have been hospitalized in intensive care.
