The occupiers are sending infantry into meat grinder-style assaults in the Pokrovsk direction
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops are actively deploying infantry to storm the positions of the Defense Forces, using tactics that involve advancing across open terrain. Soldiers of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade are eliminating the enemy while they are still on the approach, in order to prevent close-quarters combat and save the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
According to Artem Pribylnov, head of the communications department of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Russian infantry often perish in the middle of fields, never reaching Ukrainian fortifications. Occupiers who manage to make their way into the forest belts are detected and neutralized by drone operators. In light of this, Ukrainian units are scaling up their use of UAVs to gain air superiority. In addition, the enemy has almost stopped deploying expensive equipment in this sector due to the Defense Forces’ round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance and the high risk of its immediate destruction.

In the Sumy region, Russian troops carried out a series of strikes on civilian targets. As a result of the attacks, an 83-year-old woman was killed, and at least 16 other people were wounded or injured.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region following an attack by the Russian Federation.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
