The occupiers are exerting the most pressure in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors

Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 73 times. The situation is currently most tense in the Sloviansk, Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka sectors, where the heaviest fighting is taking place.

In addition to ground assaults, the Russian army continues to shell border areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions and is carrying out airstrikes. The General Staff notes that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the offensive and inflicting losses on the enemy across the entire front line.

On July 1, the Russian army carried out 73 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational summary. According to military sources, the occupiers are advancing most aggressively on four fronts simultaneously—in Sloviansk, Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka.

At the same time, Russian troops continue to shell border areas. Today, the following settlements came under artillery fire: Neskuchne, Sopych, Kozache, Tovstodubove, Korenok, Volfyne, Hirky, Bunyakine, Mala Slobidka, Bezsalivka, Potapivka, and Ulanove in the Sumy region, as well as Kovpynka in the Chernihiv region. In addition, Russian aircraft struck the villages of Luzhky and Korenok in the Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Russians carried out 31 shelling attacks, including four using multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the occupiers made nine attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Lyman, Starytsia, Artilne, and in the direction of Ternova, Chaikivka, Shevyakivka, and Zarubinka.

As of today, the enemy has not conducted any active offensive operations in the Kupiansk sector.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian attacks near Novoselivka, as well as in the direction of Stavky and Ozerny.

The Sloviansk sector remains one of the hottest. Here, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 15 attacks by Russian forces in the Riznykivka area and in the direction of Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance three times near Chasovyi Yar and in the direction of Tykhonivka and Mykolaivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 attacks near Novodmytrivka, Kostiantynivka, and Illinivka. Three more clashes are ongoing.

The situation is no less tense in the Pokrovsk sector. Since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted 14 times to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, Novomykolaivka, and Molodetske, and have also advanced toward Toretsk, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, and Serhiivka. Three battles are currently still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 12 enemy attacks near Dobropillia, as well as in the direction of Hirky, Krynychne, Huliaipole, and Charivne. Two more clashes remain active.

In the Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovsk sectors, Russian troops did not conduct any offensive operations today.

According to the General Staff, there have been no significant changes in other sectors of the front. The Russian army is not currently conducting active offensive operations there. The General Staff emphasizes that Ukrainian forces continue to repel the Russian offensive, inflicting losses on the enemy both directly on the front lines and at their rear facilities. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
