The occupiers used the last day of school to recruit students into the army
In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the Russian occupation administration has turned school ceremonies marking the “last bell” into a platform for military propaganda among graduating students.
This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.
According to the Center, this year the main focus was on recruiting young people into unmanned aerial vehicle units. On the eve of the end of the school year, representatives of the occupying authorities allegedly received lists of students who attended military clubs, drone piloting courses, and classes on so-called “homeland defense.”
The Center for National Resistance claims that parents were barred from attending graduation ceremonies under the pretext of “anti-terrorism measures.” After the official ceremony, representatives of Russian military structures held individual conversations with the graduates.
During these meetings, students were offered preferential treatment for admission to military educational institutions and free tuition at Russian universities.
The National Resistance Center emphasizes that Russian authorities are increasingly using the education system in the occupied territories to militarize Ukrainian children and build a personnel reserve for their armed forces.
