The SBU struck the FSB's radio intelligence center in Russia
The Security Service of Ukraine announced that it had struck the 16th FSB Center in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, which is engaged in electronic intelligence. According to the agency, this facility was used to coordinate attacks on Ukrainian territory and to intercept signals.
The SBU notes that the operation was carried out by the “Alpha” Special Operations Center and had consequences for key elements of the Russian intelligence system. As a result of the attack, part of the center’s infrastructure was put out of commission.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the target was the 16th Center of the FSB of the Russian Federation, located in the Temryuk District of the Krasnodar Krai. This facility, the agency claims, was responsible for electronic intelligence and signal processing used to guide missiles and drones.
It is also noted that the facility was involved in intercepting signals from foreign satellites, which allowed the Russian military to obtain additional intelligence data. The SBU emphasizes that such facilities are part of the overall system for directing strikes against Ukraine. “The enemy used this command post, located in the Temryuk District of the Krasnodar Region, to guide missiles and drones over Ukrainian territory, as well as to intercept signals from foreign satellites,” the SBU stated.
According to the Ukrainian security service, the drone attack disabled key elements of the electronic intelligence center. This, the agency emphasizes, significantly impacts Russia’s ability to coordinate airstrikes and control information channels.
The SBU explains that such operations are of strategic importance, as they weaken the command and control system of Russian air defense assets and complicate the targeting of strikes on Ukrainian territory. “Such special operations are of strategic importance, as they weaken Russia’s ability to control airspace, coordinate the work of air defense systems, and launch strikes against Ukraine,” the SBU commented.
According to Ukrainian assessments, striking electronic intelligence centers makes it harder for Russia to defend military facilities deep in the rear and opens up additional opportunities for drone operations. This is part of a gradual effort to wear down the enemy’s command and control and surveillance systems. The SBU emphasizes that such strikes are part of a broader strategy to weaken Russian military infrastructure, which coordinates attacks on Ukraine.
Over the past 24 hours, 267 battles took place on the front lines, with the fiercest fighting continuing in the Pokrovsk direction
The Ukrainian military has released updated data on Russian army casualties. According to the General Staff, Russian troops lost 960 personnel over the past day. Total Russian losses since the start of the full-scale invasion, according to Ukrainian estimates, have exceeded 1.36 million troops.
