The Russian military has been given a deadline to capture Stepnogorsk
The Russian military command has given units of the 7th Airborne Assault Division a clear objective: to take full control of the village of Stepnogorsk in the Zaporizhzhia region by the end of June.
This was reported in an official statement to the Ukrinform news agency by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.
According to him, at the same time, the occupying forces are continuing their active attempts to advance in the neighboring Huliaipole direction.
In this sector of the front, Russian invaders have been ordered to capture the settlements of Huliaipilske and Verkhnia Tersa by the end of May, although the deadline for this combat mission has already been postponed several times due to fierce resistance from Ukrainian defenders.
To achieve its goals in southern Ukraine, the aggressor country’s army is massively and continuously deploying combat aircraft and guided aerial bombs of various calibers.
The Ukrainian command records up to 25 intense airstrikes and about a hundred drops of dangerous guided aerial bombs on the front lines every day. In addition, the total number of enemy attacks using kamikaze drones is rapidly increasing on the front lines.
Most often, Russian units attack the positions of the Defense Forces with “Molniya” tactical unmanned aerial vehicles and “Lancet” loitering munitions.
Over the past 24 hours, 267 battles took place on the front lines, with the fiercest ongoing in the Pokrovsk direction
The Ukrainian military has released updated data on Russian army casualties. According to the General Staff, Russian troops lost 960 personnel over the past day. Total Russian losses since the start of the full-scale invasion, according to Ukrainian estimates, have exceeded 1.36 million troops.
