The daughter of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces may have been injured in the explosion in Moscow

Maria Chaiko, 25—the daughter of Alexander Chaiko, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces—may have been injured in the explosion at the Balzi Rossi restaurant in central Moscow. 

She appears on the list of victims as Maria P., likely under her husband’s surname—Maria Peredriy. She has a traumatic brain injury. Next to her on the list is 27-year-old Danil P. (Peredriy). Chaiko and Peredriy share the same residential address and date of birth.

Five people were killed and 21 others were injured in the explosion at the venue where the general’s 55th birthday may have been celebrated.

As a reminder, an explosion occurred at the Balzi Rossi restaurant on Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow, after which a fire broke out in the building. According to Russian media reports, three people were killed and at least 15 others were injured.

Officials have not disclosed the target of the attack. According to a number of Russian sources and Telegram channels, the explosion may have been directed against Alexander Chaika, the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, who was reportedly celebrating his 55th birthday at the restaurant that evening; however, Russian authorities have not confirmed this information.
