As of 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, Russian troops had carried out 52 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the occupiers are most active in the Pokrovsk direction and are also exerting significant pressure in the Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk directions.
In addition to assault operations, the enemy continues to systematically shell border settlements in the Sumy (Korenok, Neskuchne, Sopych, Ryzhivka, Volfyne, Budky, Malushyne) and Chernihiv (Senkyvka) regions. Russian troops also carried out airstrikes on Ulanove and Sumy.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropped four aerial bombs, and conducted 38 shelling attacks, including one using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the invaders made three attempts to break through the defenses toward Hoptivka, Nesterne, and Aniskine. Two engagements are ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched one offensive toward Kivsharivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance toward Lyman and in the areas of Novoselivka and Zarichne. Two engagements are ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and toward Piskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One firefight is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Shakove, and toward Kucheriiv Yar. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the invaders made 15 attempts to push back the defenders in the areas of Kotlyne, Udachne, and toward Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Hulyve, and Novopidhorodne. One clash is ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the Russians did not conduct any offensive operations.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks toward Vozdvizhivka, Hirky, Charivne, and Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv and Dnipro sectors, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
In other sectors, there have been no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
