A 14-year-old student has been added to Russia's list of extremists and terrorists

Viktor Kalinin, a 14-year-old schoolboy from St. Petersburg, has become the youngest person to be added by Rosfinmonitoring to its list of “extremists and terrorists.”

According to Russian media reports, this is likely the teenager who was suspected in early July of setting fire to a relay cabinet. However, he was not detained at that time.

It is noted that minors have been regularly added to this list since late 2022.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully counterattacked near Sloviansk and halted the Russian Federation’s advance — ISW.

As a reminder, the spring-summer offensive by Russian forces has not yielded significant operational results, and the pace of their advance remains significantly slower than last year. This is stated in a new report by the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW) dated August 1.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is attempting to avoid personal responsibility for the war against Ukraine by shifting the blame onto other government officials and Russian citizens.
