Attacks on the Kyiv region peaked in the last days of summer
Russian attacks on the Kyiv region peaked in the final days of summer, when approximately 800 attack drones were directed at the region. The head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force announced this on television.
According to him, massive drone attacks remain one of the key tools of the Russian military. They serve not only a military purpose but also a psychological one—to create a sense of panic among the population and undermine stability in Ukraine.
“Russia seeks to instill panic among the population in order to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. […] They want to cripple the economy and thereby influence our citizens,” stated the Air Force representative.

In the Mykolaiv region, a power line was damaged by falling debris following Russian strikes. As a result, 18 settlements were left without power.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, a private home was damaged as a result of Russian shelling. A 65-year-old woman was trapped under the rubble; rescuers freed her and handed her over to medical personnel.
Russian troops struck a passenger bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Five people were killed and seven others were wounded in the attack, according to Serhiy Hanzha, head of the regional military administration.
