Following the strikes on Russian oil refineries, there is a gasoline shortage in Moscow
A new wave of fuel shortages has been reported in Moscow and the Moscow Region: gasoline is out of stock at numerous gas stations (including those in the Gazprom, Rosneft, Teboil, Trassa, and Tatneft chains), and long lines are forming at stations that do have fuel. The shortage of AI-95 gasoline is most acute, with prices at some stations reaching 85–120 rubles per liter.
The crisis arose following a series of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refining infrastructure, which has caused fuel shortages in at least 18 regions of the Russian Federation. In particular, the Orsk refinery was shut down following an attack; repairs could take up to half a year due to sanctions and the failure of imported equipment. According to EA Analytics estimates, oil refining volumes in Russia fell in July to their lowest level since 2002 (3.6 million barrels per day).
This has been reported by Russian media and in posts by local residents.
