Pivnenko: In certain sectors of the Pokrovsk sector, the ratio of forces is as high as 1:6
In certain areas of the Pokrovsk sector in Donetsk Oblast, the ratio of Ukrainian military forces to Russian troops—those of the aggressor state—reaches 1:6. This was stated by the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko, after visiting National Guard units in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.
According to him, the situation in Donetsk Oblast, particularly in the Pokrovsk sector, remains the most challenging. Russian troops continue their intense assault operations, deploying attack drones, aircraft, and significant infantry forces.
“In certain areas, the ratio of our forces to those of the enemy reaches 1:6. However, the soldiers of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Azov’ are holding their designated lines, repelling even surprise attacks, and inflicting significant losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment,” Pivnenko stated.
According to “Ukrainska Pravda,” citing Pivnenko’s Facebook post, the commander discussed the operational situation, the nature of the enemy’s actions, logistical support, and priority needs with corps and unit commanders. He noted that thorough reconnaissance, the timely detection of enemy forces and assets, and preemptive actions by Ukrainian servicemen are helping to repel most of the attacks.
In the Kharkiv region, units of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, “Charter,” according to Pivnenko, are holding key positions and conducting strike and search operations. In addition, special forces from the “Omega” Special Operations Center are carrying out combat missions in various sectors of the front, notably with extensive use of drones.
