Pletenchuk talks about Russian security measures on the Crimean bridge
According to Pavlo Pletenchuk, Russian forces are using all available means to guard the Crimean Bridge, periodically introducing traffic restrictions and vehicle inspections.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Dmytro Pletenchuk, on television, as cited by a Ukrinform correspondent.
“All available resources that they have are being deployed for its protection and defense, starting with the FSB’s maritime security and extending to the Russian National Guard,” Pletenchuk said.
He added that the Russians regularly impose temporary restrictions in case of threats and intensify vehicle checks.
“They periodically close the bridge… thoroughly inspect vehicles entering the bridge, and there are occasionally various restrictions,” the spokesperson noted.
He also stated that at present there are no grounds to suggest a change in the approach to guarding the facility.
The occupiers have prohibited electric vehicles from entering the Crimean Bridge — according to the Ukrainian Naval Forces.
On the morning of October 8, 2022, the Security Service of Ukraine carried out its first successful attack on the Crimean Bridge, which the Kremlin considered one of the main symbols of its occupation. This day went down in history.
