Russian forces attacked the grounds of a memorial cemetery near Kyiv

Russian occupation forces carried out a targeted attack on the construction site of the National Military Memorial Cemetery (NMM).

An enemy unmanned aerial vehicle crashed onto the grounds of the memorial complex, where the memory of Ukraine’s fallen defenders is honored.

According to the NMMC press service, the incident occurred immediately after the conclusion of the burial ceremonies for the unknown Defenders of Ukraine.

The enemy UAV was detected as preparations were underway for the next stage—the burial of the urn containing the ashes of a Ukrainian hero.

The crash of the drone resulted in damage to the complex’s civilian infrastructure. Specifically, the administrative building, water storage tanks, as well as fences and other structural elements were partially damaged.

Thanks to the rapid response of security services, everyone present on the complex’s grounds was promptly evacuated to specially equipped shelters.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or injuries among civilian staff or relatives of the deceased.

The administration of the memorial complex specifically emphasized the integrity of the burial sections.

The statement notes: “The burial sites of our Heroes remain intact,” allowing work to continue on commemorating the soldiers.

As a reminder, Russians attacked a minibus in Kherson, leaving seven people wounded.

Additionally, in Kharkiv, a series of strikes by enemy drones was recorded in various parts of the city, causing fires at the impact sites.

Throughout the day, Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 40 times with drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. Two people were killed, and another woman was wounded. Rural communities, infrastructure facilities, and private homes were hit hardest.

Throughout the day on April 2, Russian occupation forces carried out a series of brutal attacks on the Kherson region, using artillery and FPV drones against the civilian population.
