The Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors are under the heaviest pressure from Russia

Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 59 times. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors, and the enemy is also actively launching assaults near Kostiantynivka. No Russian offensive attempts have been recorded in several other sectors of the front so far.

Russian troops continue to put pressure on Ukrainian positions on several fronts simultaneously. Since the start of the day, the Russian army has carried out 59 attacks. The enemy is making its strongest attempts to advance in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Kostiantynivka sectors. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its operational update.

Shelling of the Border Areas

Russian troops continue to strike border areas in the Sumy region. Today, Korenok, Bunyakine, Tovstodubove, Potapivka, Sopych, Sukhodil, and Bezsalivka have already come under enemy fire.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, one Russian attempt to advance was recorded. The enemy also carried out one airstrike with a guided bomb and conducted 38 shelling attacks.

Where the Russians Are Attacking the Most

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses nine times. Fighting took place near Staritsa, Izbytske, and Ivashchyne. One engagement is still ongoing. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attempts to advance. The Russians attacked near Andriivka, Novomykhailivka, Shyikivka, Novoselivka, and Dibrova.

The heaviest fighting is currently taking place in the Sloviansk sector. Here, Russian troops have attempted to push back Ukrainian units 14 times. Fighting took place near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk front, Ukrainian forces repelled two Russian attacks near Pryvilne.

The enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses eight more times in the Kostiantynivka sector. Russian assaults took place in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Stepanivka. Two combat engagements are ongoing.

The highest number of attacks is near Pokrovsk

The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the hottest spots on the front line. Since the start of the day, 18 attempts by the Russian army to push back Ukrainian defenders have been recorded here.

The enemy attacked in the areas of Kotlyne, Udachne, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novohryshyne, and Hulyve. Russian troops also attempted to advance toward Kuchero-Yar, Vilne, Novoye Shakhovoye, and Bilitske. One combat engagement in this sector is still ongoing. In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three Russian attacks near Rybne.

No attacks were recorded in some sectors

At the same time, no attempts by Russian troops to advance have been recorded so far in the Kupiansk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Dnipro sectors. There have been no significant changes in the situation on other sections of the front either.

Thus, the Russian army is currently concentrating its main pressure on the eastern part of the front. The Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors are seeing the most attacks, where Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the enemy’s advance. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
