Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops engaged in combat with the Ukrainian Defense Forces 245 times. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction—43; another 17 assaults took place in the Kostyantynivka direction, and nine each in the South Slobozhansky and Kupiansk directions.

According to military reports, on September 5, the Russian army engaged in 245 combat encounters with Ukrainian units. In addition to ground attacks, the Russians actively used aircraft, drones, and artillery. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy carried out 87 airstrikes and dropped 288 guided bombs. Russian troops also deployed 8,340 kamikaze drones and fired 2,389 rounds at Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Of the total number of shelling incidents, 32 were carried out using multiple-launch rocket systems. Populated areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions came under Russian attack. According to the General Staff, the Defense Forces’ air force, missile forces, and artillery struck three areas where Russian troops were concentrated, three UAV command posts, two command posts, and one key facility.

Where the Russians Attacked the Most

The Pokrovsk sector remained the hottest spot on the front line over the past 24 hours. Russian forces carried out 43 attacks there.
