Four people were killed in the Kharkiv region as a result of shelling by Russia
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 14 settlements in the Kharkiv region. Four people were killed, including an 11-year-old boy and a 19-year-old woman; eight other residents of the region were injured.
According to him, 14 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack over the past day. Another person in Chuhuiv was injured—a 40-year-old woman. Following the attack, a 28-year-old man and two 75-year-old women also required medical attention. They were diagnosed with acute stress reaction. Another person was killed in the village of Bezruky in the Derhachi community. A 76-year-old woman fell victim to Russian shelling.
In the same village, a 54-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were injured. Two more men were injured in Derhachi. A 21-year-old man was injured, and medical personnel diagnosed a 40-year-old man with an acute stress reaction. Another man was injured in the village of Kegychivka. A 55-year-old resident was injured there.
Thus, a child is among those killed as a result of this attack. Russian strikes have once again affected the civilian population of the Kharkiv region, which regularly suffers from shelling. The Russians struck the region with various types of weapons. According to Synyegubov, the Russian military used various types of weaponry against the Kharkiv region.
In particular, the enemy employed multiple-launch rocket systems, FPV drones, and various types of unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the attacks, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed. Among the damaged property are power lines, warehouses, private homes, vehicles, farm buildings, and railway infrastructure. Russian strikes also damaged a tractor, a truck, and an emergency medical vehicle.
Attacks on civilian infrastructure create additional problems for the region’s residents. Damage to power grids can disrupt life in populated areas, while strikes on transportation and railway infrastructure complicate travel and logistics. The Kharkiv region remains one of the areas most frequently targeted by Russian shelling. Both large cities—including Kharkiv and Chuhuiv—and small villages and towns near the border are under attack.
This time, the consequences of the attacks have been particularly severe—four people were killed, including an 11-year-old child, and eight others were injured. Oleg Sinyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported on the consequences of the Russian attacks.
Russian troops struck a residential building in Kherson with a guided aerial bomb. Three people were injured in the attack—an 84-year-old man, a 75-year-old woman, and a 43-year-old man. All were taken to the hospital.
Russian drones caused major fires in the Synelnykivskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. A food warehouse and a logistics company building caught fire, and rescue workers had to work on site all night. The fire was successfully extinguished.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops engaged in combat with the Ukrainian Defense Forces 245 times. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction—43; another 17 assaults took place in the Kostyantynivka direction, and nine each in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna and Kupiansk directions.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army lost another 1,390 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. The Ukrainian General Staff also reported the destruction of three multiple-launch rocket systems, one air defense system, and more than 1,400 drones.
