Over 100 clashes in a day, heaviest fighting near Huliaipole and Pokrovsk
Since the beginning of the day, 102 combat engagements have taken place along the frontline. Russian forces carried out the highest number of attacks on the Huliaipole and Pokrovsk axes. Ukraine’s Defence Forces are holding back the offensive and inflicting losses on the enemy. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian troops continue to shell border areas. In Sumy region, Rohizne, Iskryskivshchyna, Ryzhivka, Starykove, Budky, Yastrubshchyna, Seredyna-Buda and Bachivsk came under fire. In Chernihiv region, shelling was recorded in Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Yasna Poliana, Huta-Studenetska, Huta and Karpovychi.
Northern axis
On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, the enemy carried out 58 strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. Two of them involved multiple launch rocket systems.
Kharkiv region
On the South-Slobozhanskyi axis, Russian forces twice attacked towards Vilcha and Fyholivka but failed to advance. On the Kupiansk axis, one attempted assault was recorded near Kurylivka.
Eastern front
On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian troops repelled six attacks near Tverdokhlibove, Ridkodub, Drobysheve, Stavky and Zarichne. No active assaults are currently ongoing there.
On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy attempted to advance towards Rai-Oleksandrivka and Zakytne. One attack is still ongoing.
On the Kramatorsk axis, fighting took place near Bondarne, Fedorivka and Chasiv Yar.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, 14 offensive actions were recorded in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Berestok, Stepanivka, Rusyn Yar, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Sofiivka and Novopavlivka. One attack is ongoing.
The situation remains tense on the Pokrovsk axis. Since the start of the day, occupying forces have tried 27 times to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Zatyshok, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and Novopidhrodne. Twenty-six attacks have already been repelled.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy launched six assaults towards Ivanivka, Ternove, Danylivka, Vyshneve and Nove Zaporizhzhia. Two battles are ongoing. Airstrikes were carried out on Orestopil and Pokrovske.
South
The most intense fighting took place on the Huliaipole axis, where 38 attacks were recorded in the area of Huliaipole and towards Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Hirke, Sviatopetrivka and Verkhna Tersa. Six assaults are still ongoing. The enemy also launched airstrikes on Verkhna Tersa, Serhiivka, Huliaipilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Mala Tokmachka, Kopani and Tersyanka.
On the Orikhiv axis, three combat engagements occurred near Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky and Prymorske.
No active offensive actions were recorded on the Prydniprovskyi axis.
