Ukrainian air defense forces have shot down 249 of the 272 unmanned aerial vehicles used by Russian invaders in a massive attack on Ukraine.

The enemy launched a large-scale air operation in the evening, employing a wide range of strike and decoys.

Despite the high effectiveness of the air defenders’ combat operations, it was not possible to completely avoid the consequences of the terror, as infrastructure damage was reported in several regions.

The Ukrainian Air Force officially reported the massive air attack on Telegram.

The enemy launched drones from several directions, including the Russian cities of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo, as well as from Cape Gvardeyskoye in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, unmanned aerial vehicle units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups were deployed to repel the air attack.

“We recorded 19 strike UAVs hitting 11 locations, as well as downed debris falling at 13 locations,” the military command noted.

The Air Force emphasized that as of this morning, the elimination of aerial targets was ongoing, as isolated enemy drones remained in the country’s airspace.

The occupiers attacked not only with classic Shahed drones but also used new “Gerbera” and “Italmas” drones, “Banderol” loitering munitions, and “Parody”-type decoy drones.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
