Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, the Russians attacked the Kyiv region with missiles that follow a ballistic trajectory: “Onyx,” “Zircon,” “Iskander-M,” and S-400 systems from the Kursk, Rostov, and Bryansk regions, 36 X-101/“Iskander-K”/X-59 cruise/air-launched missiles from the airspace of the Vologda, Kursk, and Belgorod regions, eight “Kalibr” cruise missiles from Novorossiysk, two “Banderole” loitering munitions, as well as 168 Shahed-type attack UAVs (nearly half of which are jet-powered), "Gerbera" and "Parody"-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Gvardeyskoye (in the temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, air defense forces shot down or intercepted 31 X-101/“Iskander-K”/X-59 cruise missiles, eight “Kalibr” cruise missiles, two “Banderole” missiles, and 145 drones in the north, south, east, and center of the country.

Hits were recorded at 28 locations, and downed targets (debris) were found at two locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones in the airspace.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

Serhiy Shtilerman, co-owner and chief designer of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, posted a photo on July 29 showing the launch of an unidentified missile, but did not disclose any details about the images.

As a reminder, on Monday, July 28, Fire Point reported that Ukrainian FP-1 drones struck a warehouse belonging to the Russian logistics operator 3PL in the village of Koledino.
