The Russian State Duma stated that warehouse owners must repair their facilities themselves following drone attacks
Owners of warehouse facilities damaged as a result of attacks by Ukrainian drones must restore them at their own expense, said Stanislav Naumov, deputy chairman of the Russian State Duma’s Committee on Economic Affairs.
According to him, e-commerce platforms are already allegedly planning to restore the warehouses without using federal budget funds. At the same time, Naumov acknowledged that companies do not always own the warehouse facilities they use.
He also called for supporting affected businesses primarily through tax and credit incentives rather than direct funding.
The day before, Vladimir Putin instructed the government to prepare a program to restore logistics hubs damaged as a result of the attacks. According to media reports, since mid-July, the main target of the strikes has been Wildberries’ infrastructure—23 warehouses were damaged, and total losses, including destroyed goods, are estimated at nearly 1 trillion rubles.
