Putin Is Preparing a Purge in Crimea and Dismissing Aksyonov — ATESH

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is reportedly planning to remove Sergey Aksyonov from his post as head of the occupation administration in Crimea. According to the “ATESH” movement, the Kremlin has already identified a candidate who could replace the peninsula’s current Gauleiter.

Insiders within the “ATESH” resistance movement in the peninsula’s occupation administration have learned of the Kremlin’s new plans.

According to them, Putin plans to remove Aksyonov, despite the fact that he has held the position for over 12 years.

“They plan to place all the blame for the looming humanitarian catastrophe and the failures in providing for Crimea on him,” the partisans explained.

In this way, the Kremlin leader aims to reduce social tensions and curb growing dissatisfaction with the authorities among the local population.

According to the partisans, Putin is counting on a large-scale purge to help him cope with the current situation.

“ATESH” believes that the Russian dictator plans to resort to the classic “good tsar, bad boyar” scheme.

“Realizing that his position has been shaken, Aksyonov has begun to panic. He has now launched a frantic but futile charade: he’s staging public reprimands and openly threatening local ‘deputies,’ trying to paint a picture for Moscow of total control and a ‘strong hand,’” ATESH reported.

According to the activists, Aksyonov’s dismissal is expected to take place immediately after the September “elections.”

“ATESH” emphasized that the list of candidates for this position is currently very short.

According to the movement, Putin is leaning toward appointing the so-called “Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea,” Alexei Dmitriev.

The Kremlin allegedly wants to put a security official at the helm of the peninsula who will be able to suppress growing discontent.

At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that Putin may choose one of the military commanders as part of his own “Time of Heroes” program.

Earlier it was reported that after Russian attacks on the Kharkiv–Poltava highway, not a single gas station remained operational.

As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region, damaging a gas station and a resort.

The WOG gas station chain in Kyiv and the Kyiv region will temporarily suspend nighttime operations due to the increased risk of enemy shelling.
