Russia launched a missile strike on Odesa, damaging a hospital and a college
On the afternoon of July 31, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Odesa. The strike damaged civilian infrastructure, including the grounds of a business, a medical facility, and a college. According to preliminary reports, two people were injured.
“As a result of the missile attack on Odesa, civilian infrastructure was damaged: an industrial site, as well as a hospital and a college,” said Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
According to preliminary reports, the victims were a 43-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman who works at the hospital. “The man is in serious condition. The woman’s condition is moderate,” the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration noted.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, clarified that the man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds and that both victims are receiving the necessary medical care. Information regarding the consequences of the Russian strike is being verified.

As a reminder, on the night of July 29, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes on a number of military and infrastructure targets on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Among the targets hit were the Ryazan Oil Refinery, a base for Russian Black Sea Fleet vessels, a radar station, and military logistics facilities.
SBU drones struck the Lukoil oil refinery in Perm, more than 1,500 km from Ukraine.
