Russia is launching the most attacks in the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka sectors

Since the start of the day, Ukrainian forces have repelled 207 attacks by the Russian army. The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk sectors, where the occupiers continue their assaults.

 

Since the start of the day, there have been 207 combat engagements on the front lines between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. The occupiers continue to actively attack on several fronts simultaneously, using aircraft, guided bombs, drones, and artillery. 

According to military reports, Russia carried out one missile strike over the past 24 hours, firing two missiles. The occupiers also carried out 55 airstrikes, dropping 168 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 6,415 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,953 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Where the fiercest battles took place

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian troops carried out one airstrike, dropped three aerial bombs, and conducted 53 shelling attacks, two of which involved the use of multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy made 14 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Staritsa, Zakhidne, Dvorichanske, as well as in the direction of Lyman, Izbytske, Ustynivka, Kolodyazne, Radkivka, and Khatne.

In the Kupiansk sector, no offensive actions were recorded over the past 24 hours.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven assaults. Russian troops attacked near Novoselivka, Zarichne, as well as in the direction of Lyman and Ozerny.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 19 attacks. Fighting took place near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and in the direction of Piskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers attempted to advance three times in the Minkivka area and toward Tykhonivka. At the time of this report’s publication, two engagements were still ongoing.

On the Kostiantynivka front, Ukrainian forces repelled 22 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Rusyno Yar, and in the direction of Novopavlivka. Two more battles were still active.

Most attacks occurred in the Pokrovsk direction

As is customary, the most challenging situation persisted in the Pokrovsk direction. Here, Russian troops launched 28 assaults, attempting to advance near Dorozhne, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, as well as in the direction of Toretsk, Kuchero-Yar, Vilne, Novoye Shakhovoye, Sergiivka, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka.

At the time of publication, two clashes were still ongoing. According to preliminary estimates by the General Staff, Ukrainian forces in this sector of the front:

  • killed 20 Russian soldiers;
  • wounded another 11 occupiers;
  • destroyed four vehicles and a drone control center;
  • damaged two artillery systems, another vehicle, and 32 enemy personnel shelters;
  • destroyed or neutralized 208 drones of various types.

Situation in Other Sectors

On the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian troops launched a single attack on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the direction of Oleksandrohrad.

On the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out seven attacks toward Vozdvizhivka, Kosivtseve, Tsvitkove, and Staroukrainka. Two firefights were still ongoing.

On the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three assaults near Stepove, Mali Shcherbakiv, and in the direction of Pavlivka.

In the Dnipro sector, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive operations.

The General Staff also reported that no significant changes in the operational situation were recorded on other sections of the front. “No significant changes in the situation occurred on other fronts, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.

As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region, damaging a gas station and a resort.

Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on the afternoon of July 24, although such attacks usually take place at night. An expert believes this could have been an attempt to wear down Ukrainian air defense, a show of force, or the result of a technical delay in the missile launch.
