Video: Lines Have Reappeared at Gas Stations in Volgograd Following the Attack on the Lukoil Refinery
In Volgograd, following a large-scale attack that damaged the Lukoil oil refinery and a Wildberries warehouse, local residents reported on July 31 that lines had returned at gas stations.
According to city residents, the situation on the fuel market has begun to cause concern. One local resident said she had to change her weekend plans due to potential fuel shortages.
“We were planning to go to the village for the weekend, but it looks like something might go wrong,” she said.
Earlier, Volgograd had already experienced fuel shortages and lines at gas stations following attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure. A new attack on facilities related to oil refining and logistics has once again heightened concerns about the stability of fuel supplies in the region.
As a reminder, on the night of July 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on a number of military and infrastructure facilities on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Among the targets struck were the Ryazan Oil Refinery, a base for Russian Black Sea Fleet vessels, a radar station, and military logistics facilities.
SBU drones struck the Lukoil oil refinery in Perm, more than 1,500 km from Ukraine.
On July 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new results of strikes on Russian facilities used to support and prolong the war against Ukraine.
