Putin called the war against Ukraine a "just fight for the children"

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that the war against Ukraine is a “just struggle for the future of our children.”

During a speech marking Russian National Guard Day, he claimed that the occupying forces are allegedly “confidently carrying out combat missions.”

According to him, this is a “struggle for a peaceful, free, and safe life for children and grandchildren,” as well as for “the historical right of the people to speak their native language.”

In addition, Putin stated that the war against Ukraine is allegedly aimed at preserving “the faith and legacy of our ancestors.”

As a reminder, the Kremlin has expressed hope for new negotiations with Ukraine.

The Kremlin also commented on the upcoming talks in the U.S. without Russia’s participation.
