During a meeting with U.S. President’s Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Vladimir Putin stated that Russia had allegedly not carried out any strikes on Kyiv since midnight on September 5.

At the same time, air raid alerts were issued repeatedly throughout the day in Kyiv and the surrounding region due to the threat of attack drones.

Thus, even in the absence of confirmed direct hits, the capital remained under threat of Russian attacks.

In Kyiv, Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine had proposed to Russia—the aggressor state—that it temporarily suspend airstrikes during negotiations related to possible visits by U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
