Putin has turned his attention to defending Russia's eastern borders with the United States and Japan

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin held a meeting on the security of Russia’s eastern borders.

The meeting was attended by Commander of the Pacific Fleet Vladimir Liina, Head of the FSB Border Guard Service for the Sakhalin Region Sergey Makhorin, and Acting Commander of the 68th Army Corps Alexey Shvedov.

Putin stated that the Russian military’s primary tasks are currently being carried out during the war against Ukraine, but Moscow must also ensure Russia’s security “on all fronts and territories.”

According to him, the situation on the eastern front is “complex.” He listened to reports from the military command and asked for proposals on additional measures to ensure the region’s security.
