SSO operators destroyed two Russian Buk systems
Drone operators from the “Hornet” unit of the 3rd Regiment of the Special Operations Forces destroyed two Russian “Buk-M2” and “Buk-M3” air defense missile systems.
According to military sources, Ukrainian UAVs detected and destroyed key components of the Russian air defense system. The “Buk-M3” is one of the most advanced air defense systems in the Russian Ground Forces.
The Special Operations Forces emphasized that the destruction of such systems has not only tactical but also strategic significance.
“These systems are an important part of the enemy’s layered air defense. Their loss complicates the protection of Russian troops and critical infrastructure,” the 3rd Special Operations Regiment emphasized.
The destruction of such systems weakens the enemy’s ability to control the airspace and creates better conditions for Ukrainian aviation, strike drones, and artillery to operate.
The Special Operations Forces added that the “Hornet” unit continues to hunt down Russian air defense systems and other priority targets on the front lines.
This was reported by the 3rd Separate Special Operations Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave.
As a reminder, during the offensive operation in the Oleksandrivka direction, which lasted from January to August 2026, 26 settlements in three regions were liberated.
Earlier, the General Staff confirmed a strike on the TANECO oil refinery in Tatarstan.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 troops and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
