Russia is removing borders with the occupied territories
Russia’s FSB plans to abolish the border zones between Ukraine’s occupied territories and Russian regions.
The changes affect the Rostov and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation, as well as occupied Crimea. The Russian security service has already prepared draft orders to this effect.
In the Russian documents, this is explained by the illegal “annexation” of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions to Russia. After the current zones are abolished, the border regime is planned to be moved directly to the outer borders of the occupied territories.
At the same time, the border regime will be partially retained in Crimea. It is planned to remain in effect within the Black Sea islands that Russia considers its own.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian military is striking Wildberries trucks transporting goods to occupied Crimea. At least two instances of such vehicles being hit have been reported; another attack ended with a drone missing its target.
On August 12, Ukrainian drones struck a relay station for the Russian “Geran” strike drone control system in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. A number of other key Russian military targets in the occupied territories were also hit.
The General Staff noted that striking these targets weakens the enemy’s ability to control attack drones, maintain military equipment, and support the operations of its units.
