Storm Shadow missiles destroy main production hall of microelectronics plant in Bryansk – Ministry of Defense
On March 10, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a successful airstrike on the “Kremniy El” plant in Bryansk, destroying the main production facility of the enterprise.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The facility played a key role in producing microelectronics for Russia’s precision-guided weapons. The attack used Storm Shadow cruise missiles, launched from modified Su-24M aircraft, capable of striking targets up to 300 km away.
The operation’s effectiveness was ensured by the technical characteristics of the missiles, which fly at very low altitudes of 30–40 meters at speeds of approximately 1,000 km/h. Thanks to Stealth technology and the ability to follow the terrain, Storm Shadow missiles remain almost invisible to enemy air defense systems. The destructive power is provided by a 450-kg BROACH dual-charge warhead, where the first component penetrates concrete, and the second causes an internal explosion inside the building.
High precision is achieved through a combined navigation system that includes GPS, inertial sensors, and a thermal imaging seeker that identifies the target using a stored digital profile. While Russia loses capacity for producing missile systems, Ukrainian aviation demonstrates the ability to surgically destroy strategic targets deep in the enemy’s rear. The successful strike on the “Kremniy El” plant will significantly limit the occupiers’ ability to produce modern electronics for military purposes.
Satellite images have confirmed critical destruction of the Bryansk defense plant.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also plans to file a complaint with the UN regarding the missile strike on Bryansk.
